Jesus was the long-awaited king – the king God had promised to his people so many years ago. But he wasn’t at all the king they expected.
He wasn’t born in a fancy castle. He was born in a house.
He didn’t have an expensive bed. He was first placed in a feeding trough for animals.
He is God but he humbled himself and became a human… just like us.
He may not have been the king they expected but he was the king they needed.
